This Tribute is supporting Maggie's Centres, if you want to help please make a Donation. We have chosen Maggie’s as the charity for donations as they made a real difference to mum’s life, both during her treatment and her stays in hospital. While mum was going through chemotherapy Maggie's provided mum with a wig so she would feel less conscious about her appearance, especially around her grandchildren. During mum’s stays in hospital Maggie’s would provide a drinks trolley a couple of times a week, this meant mum never had to miss out on her G and T’s (she even had a few cocktails by mixing in a blood transfusion at the same time). The other service’s they provided were Look Good, Feel Good sessions to discuss skin care and make up tips while undergoing chemo, as well as having trained beauticians come round and give manicures and pedicures. All this was provided free of charge, and helped keep mum feeling and looking good, while more importantly aiding in keeping her spirits up!
